INTRODUCTION OF E&ACE

                TheAnti-Corruption Establishment was created in the year 1961.After Abolition of the one unit, E&ACE started functioning independently from 1970.

                   Sindh Enquiries & Anti-Corruption Establishment Act, 1991 was promulgated on 22.02.1992.Sindh Enquiries & Anti-Corruption Rules 1993 were notified on 21.12.1993

                   The E&ACE Sindh is an attached Department of SGA&CD.The Chairman, E&ACE is the head of the Establishment.The Secretary (GA), SGA&CD is Principal Accounting Officer of E&ACE.

                   On Secretariat side, Chairman, E&ACE is assisted by Special Secretary, Deputy Secretary and 04 Section Officers each for Admin, Enquiries, Anti-Corruption and Legal Section. Director (Legal) and Director Enquiries-I&II and Director (Forensic Investigation are assisting the Chairman in conducting Enquiries. On field side Director, ACE & his Deputy Directors of Zones alongwith Director (Legal) & other staff are supporting staff.

PROVINCIAL SETUP

                   At the provincial level, there is a Directorate of ACE, headed by Director ACE. Director, ACE Sindh, supervises working of field offices and report to Chairman, E&ACE.

                   Chief Secretary, Sindh is Chairman of ACC-I and he also acts as Competent Authority to accord permission either to hold open enquiry or to order for registration of a Criminal Case or to drop the case after investigation or to refer the case to the concerned department, as deemed fit.

                   There are 09 ACE Zones in Sindh and each Zone is headed by Deputy Director ACE.

                   There are 29 Circles and 01 Sub-Circle at District Level and each Circle is headed by a Circle Officer.
